cirsisue is right ... kids and igs just get into things they shouldn't and they get hurt no matter *how* careful we are!

over the years, iZ has managed to: burn his tongue on a heat lamp, break a toe leaping about his enclosure, tear a nail out, and the most recent + worst, *somehow* manage to break his tail while in his room .... i *know* you feel really bad! *hug* ... but all we can do is be as careful as we can and patch them up when they get boo-boos ...*grin* ...

you are *not* a bad ig-mom so don't *even* be thinkin' that! i think you must be a *very* *good* ig-mom if Mel sits still for you to fix his toe up!!! (i'm impressed that he lets you bandage it! we tried to splint iZ's tail and he *freaked* out that we put something on him and we had to remove it)

btw, how big is Mel? (sorry, my brain just won't let me remember)

now, consider yourself "picked-up"! you have our permission to stop feeling like it's your fault, (cuz it's not)
