i think it brought them in. it didn`t look as though the extent of the infestation could have happened in barely a weeks time. i did tell the owner what i had seen and she said she would clean his tank and put newspaper down to be sure there were mites. i do plan on going back in a few weeks and seeing what the progress has been. hopefully they wont just sell the ig to some unsuspecting person before treating the problem. i don`t want to be rude because i think this pet shop is not just in it for the money. they seem like they do genuinely care for the animlas, even if they are a little misguided. we`ll see how it goes. thanx for responding. i am going to keep a close eye on petrie for any signs of infestation anyways, you can never be too careful....

: Poor thing..prolly got it from another rep in the store...or possibly brought em in...Did you bring up the subject with the owner? mites...come 'alive at night' and your jacket altho a good transport vehicle is not as desirable as the dark crevices of tanks, substrate and proximity of a good meal. I wouldn't worry...but I'd definately let that owner know that you had planned on purchasing a reptile from them...but because of dadadada...have since changed your mind...Let them know that you will return in a month to see if any improvement has been made
