ok heres what i do for my petrie. it sounds pretty complicated but its really not: my diet is based on both mk`s and jen swoffords suggestions and theories on iggy diets. my diet contains at least 10-15 different veggies, fruits and leafy greens which rotate weekly and some daily.
1. i start with a base of mustard, collard, and turnip greens.
2. i add about 2-3 more types of greens- escarole, watercress, cilantro, parsley, kale, endive, etc.
3. i add 3-4 types of veggies: green beans, peas, squash, parsnip, carrots, carrot tops, etc.
4. i add small amounts of other fruits and veggies for the sole purpose of color. red, yellow bellpeppers, carrots, yellow squash, etc.
5. i add 2 types of fruits: kiwi, lime, orange, peach, raisins, figs, dried fruits, apples, etc.
6. i add any extras like white rice, kidney beans, bread and grains, baby food etc.
7. i add multi vitamin and calcium supplements.
for petrie, i add a lot of greens because he is very fond of them and it helps him eat more food when i add more. he isn`t really finiky, and if i put salad down rarely will he pick out certain foods, alfalfa being one he would avoid at all costs! the bright colored veggies add some interst to his food. it`ll attract him to his food when i put bright colors in there. i hope this helps your paper! i know it seems like a complicated thing but its really not.=)

: I have a request for ya'll. You can either email me privately or post to the board. I'm doing a research paper on iguanas in my women's studies class. Various stuff: history, care, abuse, laws, ect. Mostly the ignorance people have when it comes to proper care. (people on this board excluded of course)
: It won't be as extensive as I want it to be thought. :( It can only be 7pages. Anyway, what I'd like from ya'll is what you feed your babies. I know you change it from week to week but everybody adopts their own way of doing it. (schedual, food, habits of the iggy ect.)
: Thanks,
