Traci ...how will shredding/chopping his salad give him more of what he needs? Is he NOT eating the salad you provide or picky and digging for what he wants/likes? Some iguanas don't care for fruits......I don't believe any of the diets Ive read about say fruits HAVE to be provided.
Mangoes, papayas, berries (strawberries are ^ in oxalates!) are favorites & have lots of nutrients & fiber. If Im having a banana Juana & Feo get 1/3 of it...chopped into small pieces and tossed on their salads. Feo is not super keen for oranges but he'll eat em in a pinch. Juana loves strawberries...but rarely gets any. Moderation and variety is the key. Carlos is doin alright...and sounds like you are too...you worry wart!...lol
