I'm so excited I can hardly sit still!!!
Today I dutifully gave Allowishus her little dish of iggy salad, 5 little wax worms, a woodbug, a teeny house spider, and 1 more pin cricket. (Hey,I'm desperate - what can I say. At least I sprinkle calcium, D-3, & vitamins on them as well as gut-loading) Anyhow, I forgot something in the room and went back in about ten minutes later. The wax worms were gone!!! So were half of her wrinkles and *sigh* folds, and she looks twice the size!!! There was lots of turquoise scales on her too. Looked quite beautiful with the little black squiggelly lines on her posterior. I looked thru the cage and realized she must have eaten some or all of yesterday's worms too. And today was the day I dunked the worms in water first, seeing as her water dish has been completely undisturbed since the second day I got her, now a month ago. (I just set up a drip system to see if that will help.) I think she just may survive.
Tomorrow night is her vet appt. Should be interesting. I wonder if he'll know what she is. Sure is a lot of resemblance to Tim's rhino's. Do the babies have rhino horns or do they get them later? And now...she's charcoal-greyish-silver, and I can't see the turqouise!!! I just don't get it. She pooped for the third time, and like Iggy in the same place, but nowhere near the water. Man am I frustrated with not knowing what she is.
So.....now that I am more comfortable that Allowishus will survive....I can be "Allie's Mom"!! Oh, I went into the chat room you guys are in right now but I couldn't make heads or tails out of what was going on!*&^?*?It sounded like you ALL had multiple personality disorders!
Cheerio!
Allie's (proud) Mom.
