In one word, yes. From what I understand, it's not as likely from a captive-born, but it still happens. When it comes to iggies, cleanliness really IS next to godliness for a variety of reasons. There are also a great number of bacteria and microbes in their poop, which they may walk through and spread everywhere. Everyone talks about disinfecting water dishes daily with a weak bleach solution, as well as other cage furnishings periodically. Washing hands thoroughly after handling Tasha is a must.
