Hi Jared,

It sounds like you are new to the subject of iguanas, is this true? It's no problem but as you will find out here, this group is willing to help you out as much as possible. I would say the first thing I would suggest to you is go visit Melissa Kaplans website.http://www.sonic.net/~melissk/
You will find some great information about owning and taking care of a iguana. Males or females will live up to around 20 years if cared for, are you ready and willing to have a iguana around for that long? They have special needs unlike dogs or cats, such as Lighting UV's, Heating, humidity, diet, etc... Male's can grow to over 6 feet long and females 5 feet. This requires a large area to house a iguana.
May I ask how old you are? If (I'm guessing ) you are still young please talk this over with your parents first...and show them Melissa Kaplan's website. They should be a part in the under taking if you should decide that you are still interested in having a iguana. Melissa has a area on her site that talks about "Becoming a Iguana owner" Please do all the resource you can before making a purchase. And if you decide to go ahead.....please come back in here and join us.
Oh Jared, by the way, we can read without the caps on your fonts. LOL

Good Luck
Harry's Dad
