excess calories are stored as FAT...many igs..that do not use these calories wind up with fat stores on organs and along their skin...JUST LIKE US!! I have seen many FAT iguanas...cuz they're so sedentary..don't get adequate exercise and are overfed! People mistaken obesity in reptiles as being "healthy" just like we do little kids that are fat!
