(this is my favorite!)

ok, now that Cirsisue has started a trend and we *all* want our very own *live* hibiscus ... here's a link to a gorgeous Hibiscus site!

years ago, i was a caretaker for a youth center and there was a sad little hibiscus bush in the 'hang-out-room' ... when i left 4 yrs later, it was *huge* (like a 4' ball!) and i swear it bloomed almost constantly! i've been trying ever since then to grow one for *me* without alot of luck .... i am not blessed with a green thumb, so i really think that location/amt of sunlight must be very important or that little one from years ago wouldn't have survived *me*! (it was in an east facing window) ... that and it didn't seem like i could *over* water it!

oh ... and a thought on fertilizer ... i'd be careful using *any* chemicals!!! even if not applied to the leaves themselves, anything added to the water *will* find it's way *into* the leaves/blooms ... we'll have to go *organic* here ... *grin*

ready, set, GO!

Happy Spring fromthe dragon + his hu-mom
