Just a guess but if you are talking about 2 "bumps" just about even with the back of his legs and a little way down from the top of the dorsal ridge those are the hip bones. If touched they will feel hard. If they are very prominent then the iguana is either dehydrated or malnourished. There is also the possibilty of a heavy parasite load. Iguanas store fat in this area and if the bones are really evident then the iguana is "skinny" and there is a problem that needs correcting. How about telling us his diet and habitat details.
