I have to put a blanket down on the carpet when I bring Joey out because he goes crazy with the carpet. He attacks it as though it is totally "evil"; arching his back, grabbing the fibres and pulling with all his might. He doesn't want to eat it, it is like he is really angry at it(his expression and body movements are so funny when he does it).
The only thing I can figure is that we have a cat and he can smell the cat's fur on the carpet and gets upset.
Who knows what is going through his little green head...sheesh.
