In my experience, thin mesh cuts iguanas when they bite it or climb it. Consider using 1/2 X 1 "welded wire mesh" for the screening. This mesh is commonly used for rabbit cage floors. It's thick enough that it does not cut into the igs toes or mouths. The UVB in natural sunlight is so strong that the mesh won't overly reduce it.
(Mine poked their noses into every mesh hole to try to escape, and bit at the mesh, and ended up with cut and bloody nouths and noses, with the thin mesh. It was a big sunning cage; 4 ft wide, 8 ft long and 8 ft high.)
