:My year old green iguana seems to want to eat the carpet blankets, socks shirts and pants. Is there a problem. Cause he gets his meals regularly.
If you can rule out hunger, then he's just tasting his environment. It can be a problem if he pulls out carpet fibers or swallows small clothing items. He's likely to eat small things he finds on the floor, such as pins, coins and dental floss - very dangerous, I know from experience.
Try placing a bundle of collard greens on the floor for him to rip and gnaw on. He might like that.
