My ig doesn't eat anything but greens as well. He doesn't like fruit what so ever..tried everyting and if i recall i posted about the same thing here once before my self and it seem there are a lot igs that are the same way out there so don't worry about that. My ig doesn't like to be held for too long as well but he likes to or seems to like just sitting on my shoulder. He usually lets me know when he had enough and i let him go free again :) .

:Okay, so this guy is a rescue, I found him on the side of the road about a month ago. Was thin, had parasites, that's all been taken care of, and he's gaining weight pretty well now. He's tame. Doesn't bite, tail whips a little when he gets startled by me or the cats. But he's little, 22", and a couple years old at least. Yes, he's stunted. Problem is, while he's tame and will let me handle him, etc.... He doesn't really enjoy my company it seems. There's no bonding between us. It's kinda depressing. I've tried the treat thing, but he hates anything that's not part of his regular diet. (I get pre-mixed greens from my pet shop) Doesn't like banana, peas, kiwi (oh, he hated me for that one!), strawberries, dandelion greens, bread, peppers, squash, NOTHING. 2 plants outside he'll munch on till they're gone if I'd let him, But I can't ID them, so I don't want to let him eat them till I know they're safe. Anybody else have an ig who won't eat anything but greens? So I've given up on the treat thing, anybody else got any ideas on getting him to appreciate me rather than tolerate me? He hates baths, so that won't work. lol Igs are such pains. Why we love them, I'll never understand... "Help, my ig doesn't love me!" lol
:Anywho, thanks in advance for any thoughts on this...
:Alli
