its good youre not new to reptiles..however iguanas require a lot of research even if youve kept other lizards =) some good things to know are:
-They are folivores/vegetarians, and require fresh foods daily-greens, veggies, some fruits, and depending on the diet supplements.
-They require a large usually homeade enclosure-an adult needs an enclosure at least 6 ft long, at least 6 feet high, and at least 3 or 4 feet wide with lots of branches/trees to climb, a safe way to heat a spot to around 90-95* and a cooler spot around 80-85* , also keep in humidity, and lots of mistings =)
-You need a vet visit at least once a year for routine, and any time the ig seems sick
-You can easily spend $500+ on initial supplies not including vet visit (and more if its sick and needs meds or treatment)food, and daily, weekly, monthly, and annual charges
-An iguana will grow about 5-6 feet long, occasionally a little smaller or little larger
-Males get in 'season' twice a year and it lasts generally 3 months-although its not uncommon for the season to last longer/less. Most iguanas turn into monsters and few remain 'tame' a real bite from an adult male iguana is often 'treated' with stitches. females have egg laying and can have problems developing and laying eggs-it can be very costly and risky to have your ig spayed or surgery to remove eggs
-You will spend hours fussing over them just to be ignored and pooped on :)
