Yeah, when Rex "wags" her tail it's usually a sign that she's about to make a flying leap off my arm for something or likewise become disagreeable. Rex seems to do this especially when I am holding her and someone else approaches. So far, it's never been a happy-iguana sign for me:)
:In my experience, a wagging iguana tail is very different than a dog. Its more a sign of agitation than happiness (but I have a very temper-mental ig, so it may just be my situation). My iguana will do this if he is disturbed or is "claiming" an area. He will do this sometimes when he is out and wants to be left alone. Most often I see him doing this before he goes to sleep or if he is woken up by something (and usually appears to annoyed that he was woken up...). It sure is funny looking though...

::Okay, I've noticed this on several occasions with Nemo, but never with any other ig... Sometimes, not always, when his tail is 'free dangling', usually just after I let him out of his cage in the morning and set him on the back of my couch to roam wherever he chooses, his tail will 'wag' back and forth slightly. I cannot tell if this is just nerves, or a conscious effort. I have pondered if maybe it's like a dog, they wag their tail when they're happy, and he's happy to be outside his cage? lol Has anybody ever noticed this in their igs?
::Just was wondering, my boyfriend and I think it's adorable, and I'm wondering if it's unique to my guy.. 8)
