lol Umm... I think he was talking about the ig being scary to the guy's mom.... but that's just me... ;)
And yes, those burns ARE scary....

:UTH - Under Tank Heater. And it's not that scary. Not unless you take into account that that this is equivalent to a human 3rd degree burn. The heat was so concentrated that it burned a hole through the scales and, from the look of it, the fascia which literally holds the organs inside the body cavity. It's not that scary. Not unless you take into consideration that this ig's entire system was exposed to a plethora of bacteria and infection due to the abhorrent ignorance/negligence of it's previous owner that, from the sound of it didn't even consider taking the ig to a vet and, instead, simply gave it to someone else to assume the responsibility of it's vet care. Just from the pics I would guess that it will take a minimum of 6 months for this ig to recover from this. Hopefully any internal organ damage has been kept to a minimum and everything is still functioning properly. Unfortunately, I'd be willing to bet that in order for the hole to heal all of the burned/dead flesh would have had to be removed making the hole even larger. Nothing to be scared about....
