If it was up to me I wouldn't do anything to the wood. But my wife agreed to let me take over a corner of our room if I stained the wood to match our furniture. Would I really need to let it air out for a couple weeks? I was thinking a couple of days. And I can't take it outside, it's built into the wall. Guess I should have posted this before I assembled it.
:A latex polyurethane...leave it outside and let it air out as much as humanly possible(a couple of weeks)...Make sure you cant smell any of it on it...btw if its going to be inside I wouldnt treat the wood.

::Just finishing up a new cage (6X4X8) and was wondering if there was a certain type of wood stain I needed to use, and how long to wait before the move in. Any suggestions?
