I completely agree with you Brian, but report to where? To whom?
Im living in Malaysia and the owners of some petshops here seem to think that iguanas dont need to be fed!Few weeks ago i went to a huge pets fair where lots of animals were on display to be sold.Almost all of them were healthy and gorgeous. But the igs!I saw a few baby igs literally dying of starvation!!One of them stop breathing in front of me!The poor baby was completely brown! When i called the owner she smiled and answered :" I didnt realize the food had already finished!".Hypocrite! These igs were without any food for weeks!A friend of mine took some pictures to send to the local newspaper.
Thank you for your advices!Ill follow them! How is your iglet doing?#################################################################
:Hello Flavia,
:I agree with ra tzu (of the Klingon Empire) that the owner should be shot and although I probably would have done the same thing, Was it a good thing? suppose the Idiot in questions says to her/himself I should get more of these 'insect-eating' lizards -they sell. This should be followed up in some way that the situation is not repeated. This incident MUST be reported.
: By the look of your picture, your ig looks exactly like a rescued Green we have right now at the SFCRC (Southern Florida Corucia Research Center). In addition to feeding (she/he needs alot) have your ig examined for parasites. We have ours on antibiotics.
:Good luck and please post how he/she is doing.
:Sincerely,
:Brian
