Okay, I'm a newb here, but not with iguanas. I've dealt with and cared for tons, all ages, sexes, temperments, health status'.... you name it. BUT I found and ig on the side of the road yesterday, a new one for me, and he's in not-so-good shape. Got him all his lights and cage stuff, his own basking branch this morning... Got him the premixed salad from my excellent pet store (Animalink) with all the right greens and the right proportions of veggies... For the first time, I noticed small pieces of green onions in this batch. Does anybody else give their igs green onions? I've fed igs for years, but never thought about green onions... Also, I dropped a pickle last night and didn't realize it. He found it and promptly ate it - LOVED it in fact! I'd love to give little Nemo a bite of pickle as a treat every once in a while, but only if it's good for him. Any thoughts? He's badly underweight - going to the vet next week, get all checked up, and hopefully have a good prognosis! For a turned loose baby, he's amazingly tame, and has more energy than my cats! I'm so lucky I found him. Could somebody please let me know about the onions and pickles!
Thanks!
Alli
