Hi!
We have finally found an iguana to adopt if everything goes through okay. It has a possible mite infestation and I had a couple questions. I had been given two suggestions by one vet (not a herp vet) and by a friend on what to use for this. One told me to use olive oil (I heard it on Crocodile hunter wasn't sure if my vet heard it there too?!! Wondered if it actually works!) I had also been told that I could use the same spray that we use on our parakeets. Will either of these work? I also know to bathe him more often and keep washing the cage out regularly (even more often then usual) until all signs are gone. I also had someone suggest a company online that sells stuff to get rid of mites I just though if I already had something that worked why not use it instead. If neither will work I will of course buy other!! And for everyone else out there I will of course be taking him to the vet as soon as I get him (I hope, I hope, I hope!!!!!) Wish me luck!
