I think most people who talked about doing that have had their iguanas a lot longer than you have, so they are tame. You've only had yours for a little over a week, right? In your case, it's hard to say. I wouldn't count on him being tame when he comes out. He may be, but I just wouldn't count on it. He's still adjusting to the new place and to you.

:hey, I've noticed that a lot of people on here use the strategy of leaving the cage open to get their Iguana out... Before I try that, are they usually tame when they walk out... or will he run from me and hide in the hardest place to get him when I go to pick him up?
