Hmm, if he is only 16" long, I would guess that he is less than two years old. It's hard to say for sure, though. If he had a previous owner who took very bad care of him, he might be only 16" long. But my own iguana is a rescue whose previous owner did not feed him enough, or the right sorts of food, and he was still much larger than 16" at two years old. Anyway, iguanas in new situations sometimes stop eating altogether for awhile, or their appetite may go way down. When they become more comfortable in the new place, their appetite comes back. How much are you feeding him? The important thing at this point is that he is eating and pooping, which is great. Like Flavia said, you should take a fecal sample to the vet to see if he has any parasites he should be treated for. You might want to bring him in for a check-up, too. Make sure he doesn't have any hidden health problems, etc.

Other than that, his behavior seems normal for a new iguana. Remember, to him you are a strange, new HUGE mammal that just may want to eat him.

PS: To put a picture up, it must be already on the web somewhere. You can put it on kingsnake.com's free photo gallery (there should be a link above) or somewhere else. To make it show up here, first right click on the image you want to display. At the bottom of the list that pops up is "Properties." Click on properties, and it should show you the image location, as http://whatever... Copy the url. Where you want to insert the image put Only use the stuff that you copied inside the quotes instead of the junk I put in there. You do need the quotes. Hope I didn't make that sound too complicated! :-)
