It's all perfectly normal behavior for an iguana in a new situation. He or she will come around sooner or later...well actually, probably later than sooner. Good luck!

:Hey! I love my new iguana! I've had him for about a week now! He seems to be very healthy! He won't eat in front of me but I think he eats a little on his own... (IguanaDon Rex is about 2 yrs old, I think, and about 16" long) Is it normal for him to fill up pretty fast and not eat much? He finally took his first poop today (according to previous posts about their fecies, it looks very healthy to me!) Does that mean he is most likely eating normal and allright? I was glad to see the poop because I felt he was more acquanted with his home finally! Another question is about his aggressivness... Rex is INCREDIBLY fast and when I attempt to get him he darts across the cage and it takes me until he settles down (a long time) to be able to pick him up. Is this normal or what's going on? I know he is comfortable with me... because when I hold him, he will stay on me forever and walk to my other hand if I put it there. He also falls asleep on me! So is this aggressivness normal or do you think he is just really scared of me until I pick him up and he realizes I am not going to hurt him? Anyone who has the time to write back, please do! I want to keep him as healthy as possible and educate myself! thanks! P.S. how do I post a picture on the forum? all I see is "Image URL"... does it have to be loaded to a server first or something?
