This is Godzilla, my 6/7 years old male (I have 6 igs...We are crazy arent we???LOL!!)
He always becomes red/orange when he is in his breeding season. After that he returns to his dull brown color again!
i all,
:I´ve got 4 iggies myself. Two of about 8 years of age and two rescues of about 3,5 years of age. The rescues where very malnutrioned when I took them into my care, but seem to flourish now, just abit undersized still, but it seems like they are catching up.
:Now I have noticed a few changes in the male of 8 years as of late. We all know the pictures of iggies with red paws and other red markings. Now I was wondering (sorry to be oblivious to these things,m but I just never saw adults with these colours in real life) is this a maturity sign? My older male is slightly getting red markings (and getting rather obnoxious as of late) for the firsat time for the 2 years he´s here.
:And I noticed the little ones getting markings on their body aswell. It seemed all to have started when the big male saw the little ones for the first time (they used to be seperated in a way they never saw each other). Is this colouration linbked to that or just a part of growing mature?
