5-6 feet. REASON: A green iguana feels safest at the highest point and will spend most of her/his time there.But...If you go too high it will create a situation of superiority where you might end up with a bold, aggressive iquana. Depending on your height, 5-6 is good where you can be one on one with your liz or just give him/her that little height of ease without an aggression factor. I don't profess to being an expert. However, I have kept Green iguanas for 37 years. Yes, I'm showing my age.
Also, Consider coasters (wheels) for your enclosure. It makes a world of difference in so many ways.
Good luck and enjoy

this is a very responsive forum. It is probably the corn snake forums equivalant in lizard terms. Anyway, yes I will keep you guys posted on everything.
: I understand iguanas require plenty of space and I only want THE BEST for my friends. So yes, I am trying to make the cage as big as my budget allows. Also, how deep should my enclosure be? 4-5 feet? I will be starting on the enclosure soon, im still sketching out a few details.
: Well, thank you guys for the feedback and ttyl.
