Like that we can TRY to guess his/her age!
About the water, ive been told that products to de-chlorine the water can be very toxic if you exceed the dose. The Kingsnake RES FORUM is very good.I learned how to raise mine there. And i did a good job because they thrived!!

Just put tap water.Like the water I use for my turtles and guppies. What kind of turtles do you have?I have pignoseds, soft shell, snake necks and i used to have RES (I released them in a natural lake because they became too big for their tanks!)and i always used tap water!!

:::I finally got IguanaDon Rex to eat! I put his food in the place he likes to hide and left him alone for a while and he ate it! He is starting to get more used to me and is a lot of FUN! I am unsure about the water I put in his home... can I just put tap water in there? or do I need to put stuff in it to take the ammonia and chlorine out of it, like you do for turtles and fish? Please let me know! thanks!

:I have a RES and was told to take the ammonia and chlorine out because it can cause eye problems along with other health issues. Thanks for your post! I don't have to worry about it anymore! Do you know how I can tell the age of my Iguana? If I were to guess, I would say he is about 2 years old...
