I cant remember how little your guy is, but I keep several small cages on hand. Perhaps you can look at keeping him in a smaller cage or aquarium for time being. I have quarentined in a 40 gallon several times with no bad results. Keeps them reasonably immobile. Also seems to speed healing because it restricts movements. If you have an old cage from before and this guy can somewhat comfortably fit in there (albeit cramped) with food and water that would be another option.
