:Move Him NOW! Get Him out of the Prison! Are those Wood Chips I see for a Substrate? Lose them. Use paper Towel. You won't be able to tell gender till It's older. But That's not Important right now. Do You know about the Diet? The are Veggitarians! No Insects. Collard, Mustard, Turnip, Escrole, Endive, Dandelions, Greens. Veggies Like squash, Mushrooms, Bell Pepper, etc. And a Little Fruit Like Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, melon, etc. 60% Greens, 30-35% Veggies, and 5-10% Fruit. You Need UVB but if You have BDs You should already know about that. Keep the humidity between 50-80%. Basking temp around 95-100 and Ambiant temp around 80-85. He'll be scared cause He thinks you're gonna eat Him. Give Him time to calm down a little in His new home. Then Try sitting and watching Him, Talking to Him softly. Maybe Put an old shirt with your scent in His house after a few days. Give Him Lots and Lots of Time and TLC. Also Take a Fecal to a Herp Vet. Might as well take Him too. Can't Hurt to have Him checked out good too. Stick around and Ask questions. It's why we're here. :D

::I posted a couple of days ago that I was getting my frist Iguana.I have worked with them, but have never been owned by one so I will have tons of questions.( I do have a bearded dragon and 2 leapord gecko's.see gallery under my name to see them)

::I had to resue this poor izzy after I saw the home it was in.The people who had it claimed they have read every book on them and taking care of it right....thats so NOT true.

::They don't know the sex or how old it is.They WON it from a fair this past Oct. It is about 18 front tip of nose to tail.I lives in a 10 gallon tank!

::It is scared to death be touch and will freak out if you try to touch him.

::Now the questions......... How long do I leave it in this tiny home before I move it to a temp. home which is a 55 gallon tank? Should I let him get used to me for a few weeks before I move him? When do go to move him, what is the best way? I don't want to reach in and it freaks out and loses it tail.

::I need much and all /any advice.

::Here is a pic. of the tank he in and I will post 2 more pictures of him (upclose pic) if someone can tell me how to put a pic in the body of the post.

:Heather~~ Thank you so much for repling back and for the advice, yes I know they are Veggitarians.I just have to get "it" in its new home and get the right lights for it.The bad part is that i will not get paid for another week 1/2! But I am thinking of taking a light off my gecko's and give to him.I do have a vet already how knows all about them, but she only books appointment for rep's on friday's.

At least now he will be in a good home and I will try my best to make life better for him :))

Here is another pic of it up close, what do you think? The poeple I got him from think he was a wild caught one?

Oh, they are not wood chip, its indoor outdoor brown carpet
