Um are you sure you dont have a water dragon. They will readily go after bugs and meat products....
:I need to know some things about what is good for an Iguana to eat.
:About 3 weeks ago, I was in the kitchen with my iguana, and my mom had just fifnished eating some corned beef hash. She told me that I could have the rest of what was in the pan, so I walked over to it. My iguana eyed it, and so, on a crazy hunch, I got a fork and put some on it. When I held it in front of him, he ate all that was on the fork in one gulp! This was the first time that he ate while I was holding him. Afterwards, I gave him a plate full, and he ate half of it as soona as i put it down. I haven't given him more because I wanted to know whether this was good for him or not. It seemed that he really liked it, but I don't want to give it to him if it's not good for him.
:Also, I will put the greens and things like that that i'm supposed to into his cage, and he won't really eat them. I'll leave them in there for 1 day, and then I will replace the plate and there will have been 1 or two things that have been nibbled on but nothing really. Then I will go outside and find some big caterpillars and put them in his cage and once he sees it moving, he'll eat it. He loves them. What should I do? Everything that he does is different from the typical iguana that I've heard about.
:I've even been working on training him to like me for about a year now, and he still whips his tail at me and hisses and puffs up at me whenever I approach him, I'm at my wit's end with him. I'm going to keep him and work with him no matter what, because I've been told that eventually it will get used to me, but it seems like it's taking an extremely long time.
:Could someone please help.
:(he's about 3 ft., and I have no idea how old he is. I'm thinking about 2 1/2 years to 3 years.)
