I'd like to address the "harmless cricket-eating specimen" aspect of your post. It may be harmless to your iguana (don't know since you didn't say what it was) but you might want to consider how harmLESS your IG is to him. I will freely admit that at one time we had anoles in with our male iguana. The iguana was just a baby and not much bigger than the anoles! However, one day he accidentally scratched one of them with a claw by simple walking by it and touching its fragile skin. That's when we realized our mistake.
Thought I'd give you something to think about!
