You want an opinion here...I have one for you...I was a manager for Petco for over a year...When the store I worked at opened I had the greatest expectations for the future of the store..I hired quality people to staff the store I worked. It was only a matter of time before corporate decided that I had too many employees and that they could run the store better than we could. They chose what we could stock and how many personel and at what rate there would be to care for the livestock. I grew sick of how they evolved around me...I grew up raising various birds, reptiles, fish, etc... and could not handle the way they viewed things...I abruptly quit with suits filed against the company...I cannot' speak of the type of suits or their outcome...let me say this...I got em good...SOBsh.......
:Yah...i'm all about boycotting petco. I cant stand that place, but unfortuntly I have to buy all my rats and crickets from them, but i'd also be willing to go elsewhere. The sales associates have no knowledge whatsoever. (Not all, i shouldn't say that, but 90% of them)Something should be done about these places. It's cruel and intentional how they(don't) care for these animals.(corporate i mean)I'm in Chicago, and i'd be willing to do something about this. If anybody wants to get together and write/bother the hell out of corporate, e-mail me, and we'll do it. Somebody has to. We can't wait for the next man/woman to do it.
