:Well I really don't like country but can appreciate some of the words. I'm torn on this issue, but have to say that I cannot understand people that are adamantly against it. I understand being somewhat nervous and seeing both sides..that there isn't a simple solution and we are going to be plagued with problems by this region of the world forever. All the movie stars are so against it....how ignorant. Many countries that are not supporting us have lucrative dealings with the Middle East. How can you trust them to be impartial? And then to say you support the soldiers, but not the war??? That's almost the same thing. Sure, no one will spit on soldiers like they did after Vietnam, but if the soldiers know you don't want this war, then how does that make them feel about risking their lives for this cause? And some will die. I'm not crazy about any of it, but once we're fully involved, I'll back the US all the way.
I really think that the celebrities have an odd voice. See they are not really living in the real world. For that matter I truely dont believe that the extremely rich do not live in the real world. I see a reason for this war BEYOND fuel. To many people are making this out to be a war over oil, and I dont really think that is it. Sometimes when trying to phrase things in a forum like this, it is hard to not bristle people. I sincerly hope that if we do go to war, the returning soldiers will NOT be treated as my father was. Spit upon and egged leaving the airport. That is primarily why when making my last post I said no matter what you stance on the war was, to ask people to support soldiers. Now still avioding stating my true stance on this (because NOTHING brings out trouble more than politics) I see your point, and I think it is a feeling that many americans are currently feeling.
