OH I heard that song last night. Wonderful song. And he makes some wonderful points. I actually heard it on Hannity's radio show.
The guy who wrote the song actually spent time with the troops this past december i think. He came home with pockets full of letters to mail and people to call and tell them their men and women were ok over there. We also saw it on I think moneyline last night. Showed pics from the troops and also from 9-11.
This artist (who I have no clue if he was already famous or not since I listen to rock music and not country)is having this song banned from play lists at radio stations because it is pro-war. I dont really see the song as that but i spose.
ANother link for you all. Whether or not you believe in the war that we are entering into, there are people involved. Our people, our troops. A local radio station here created a petition called "In Our Name" that they will be getting to the troops to know they are supported. The petition is not pro war but pro-troops. It is meant to be a counter to the Not In Our Name circulated by Celebrities last year.
While right now this might be off topic, I am sure that everyone of us knows of someone, be it a relative or a friend or a friend of a friend, that is in the military and perhaps on their way over there. People may not support the war, but they cant NOT support our troops, who signed up to defend the country.
OK Now I am getting off my soap box. If anyone is interested in signing the petition, I have attached the link.
I have a feeling topics like this will become very talked about soon
