This past Tuesday I went in to get some supplies (dishes and stuff) for the BD I'm adopting. I saw a Turtle there that was in a FILTHY disgusting Cage. So I asked about it. The Manager said it was a soft Shell and the Employee Said it was a false Map or a Red Earred Slider. It was neither. I bought it for 12 bucks. It turns out its an African Helmeted Side Neck, an $80 Turtle for $12. LOL!!!!! Guess I was at the right place at the right time with the dumbest people on the planet and got away with it! I hit them where it hurt, the pocket. A Little Victory mind you but a good one. The turt now lives with me healthy and Happy. :)
:I feel what your saying heather. As a matter of fact PetCo(what a hell hole for animals!)is where I rescued my Iguana about 2 weeks ago. It was terrible. I couldn't let him stay there. he wasn't even in the storeroom, he was tucked away in the backroom by himself. I saw him when I went back there to get crickets for my Beardie and Painted Agama. Its such a shame. PetCo should be closed down. Just my 2 cents though.
