I'm in process of taming my iggy and this is what helped so far. I started to pick him up after he got used to his cage. That took about a week. After that i picked him up every day. He too ran around but I didn't give up. I kept trying till I got him. I also tried to feed him out of my hand. Once I had him I pet him nicely and slowly and always fed him. Then just last Saturday I took him to a smaller room with me and just sat him down on my lap and kept on petting him and let him walk around him. We were there for about 2 hours. As of last Sunday I can now go in to his cage, pet him little and then he just lets me pick him up but he licks my hand first and then he steps on. No tail whips any more for me :) Also once he has enough of the bath time I just put my hand down and let him climb up. Now he climbs on my shoulder and we are starting to do little walks at a time to get him used to that. I also now let him run around the living room and he seems to like that as well. He really changed over this past week.

:I just recently rescued an Iguana from a horrid petstore with the intention to bring him to a reputable petstore once I've tamed him so somebody will actualy give him a good home. But i'm thinking if I can successfuly tame him, i'll be that good home for him. But he's a wild one. He's roughly 6-7 mos. old(maybe a year)and he's just started eating in front of me.Ive had him for 2 weeks now. Ive been putting my hand in his habitat(slowly of course) and leaving it there, limp, for about a minute or so and then slowly taking it out. I do this like 2 or 3 times a day for now. He seems to be o.k with it, but he still bolts away at times. Any tips, tricks, or anything anyone could supply me with would be greatly appreciated. Thank's alot guys.

:Raymond
