Do you still have the male? If so, call your vet and get a necropsy done, it'll be a lot more informative than just guessing as to the cause of his sudden passing.

::I have posted here before about my Helmeted Iguana and I hope someone can answer my question. I had a female and a male and yesterday the male died. The night before he was fine moving around his cage and everything, then when I came home from work yesterday he was sitting in his water bowl and didn't look so good. I picked him up to check him out and he was bleeding from his vent. He died about 15 minutes later. I have never lost a lizard this way and I'm not sure what happened. He was housed by his self so my female didn't do it. Any ideas on what happened?

::Thank in advance
::Dawn

::The picture is my female.
