Several months ago i entered Godzilla's cage with baby Kenya in my hands. While i was cleaning the cage, Kenya went to Godzilla's food plate and started eating his food.Godzilla, who was on his cage's highest platform( 7F high!)jumped onto the floor with a huge open mouth to eat Kenya.I still dont know how i could save my baby from being eaten alive!Kenya is not an anole, but a male baby ig, and Godzilla would eat him, not beacuse he likes meat but to defend his territory from intruders.I suppose that is the reason why your iguana wanted to eat the anole.

:I have a green iguana I rescued back in August/September. He is doing great after being in my care and exhibiting the most beautiful colors and patterns. He eats a wide variety of greens/vegetables and fruit I buy for him; in short, he has healthy diet. I have 2 asian vine snakes that are exclusive lizard/frog eaters. Therefore, I keep a tank with feeder anoles for my snakes. I went to feed one of my snakes today and the anole I meant to get jumped out of my hands and ran to the corner where my iguana's basking site is. Upon seeing the anole on my wall, my iguana immediately ran over to it and I managed to scare the anole out more and I caught it. I held the anole's by its tail and placed it near my iguana. My iguana kept opening his mouth and reaching for the anole. Scared, the anole dropped its tail and fled. I dangled the tail in front of my iguana and he ate it greedily. I caught the anole and placed him in my snake's cage for consumption.
: I know iguana's have been known to prey on smaller invertebrates. I'm just curious, but has anyone else had a similar experience or fed anoles to their iguanas???? I realize that many reptiles will eat anoles. I found out recently when my giant Leaf-tail gecko ate 2. I think stimulating an animal's natural feeding response is very beneficial for an animal and I try to stimluate a healthy response as much as possible. Thanks for any comments/stories/questions!
