Talking about overdoses i just received an e-mail from the owner of a tortoise saying the vet killed his pet by administrating him a very high dose of antibiotic. This happens more often than we think! When my STAR was sick the vet wanted to give her an antibiotic injection and i didnt allow him.She was full of worms and desydrated, no reason to give her antibiotics!I think that to prescribe antibiotics became the routine and the vets dont even think anymore whether its really necessary or not to prescribe them!
If i was you i would adopt an ig right now if possible of the same age and size and color of the one that died. Like that you can pretend nothing happened and you will not suffer so much looking at his empty cage,etc... ###############################################################
::(it is only a guess)your ig was not sooo sick and the vet gave him a too much strong dose of antibiotic??I dont know, but since i lost a beautiful female dog because the vet gave her a super srong dose of analgesic i cant trust vets, with a syringe in his hands, anymore! In my opinion this story is weird...

:It could verywell be. I don't think I will ever own an iguana again, but if I do and the it gets very ill, I will be more mindful about the doctor's diagnosis, and treatment.
