The MK/IguanaDen diets issue has been around for awhile. After having had my own personal dealings with Mr. Egan I think I can understand why there remains debate and argument....;)
As far as "diets" go, as long as you educate yourself as to acceptable greens, veggies, and ocassional fruits i.e. correct levels of Ca:Phos, oxalates, goitrogens, sugars, etc. you should be able to provide a healthy and varied diet for your ig. One of the pitfalls of feeding a particular "diet" every day is that iguanas can become just as bored with their food as a human would eating nothing but PB&J every day without fail.
Get a fecal exam done by a vet if you're really concerned about possible lack of growth especially if you haven't had the igs from hatchling, i.e. rescues/second hand etc.. The more owners an ig has had the more potential there is for improper care to have happened which, in turn, can stunt growth. This can just as easily occur with "extended" stays in pet shops as I rarely see correct husbandry being practiced in a shop. Make sure you've got a good UV source as well and that it is an appropriate distance from the ig (12" for fluo tubes), have good humidity and heat and you should be all set.
