Be aware that romaine is not a good substitute for the others mentioned. Stay away from any lettuce as they are low in nutrition.

I don't know a lot about that bulb as I have yet to see UV readings for it (measured) but it is rumored to be a good bulb.

Have you had this ig since he was young? If he has had previous owners or was in a pet shop for a long time, this could account for his lack of growth.
