eat Phil as a member of our family and keep him in an area where he is involved in the 'action' at home. He is easily accessible and every time I walk by, I talk to him a little and give him a neck rub or scratch an itchy spot where he is about to shed.
:
:I have noticed that, over time, Phil has become much less agitated around people. I used to get a stern tail whip whenever I walked by. Now I get the occasional flinch, but mostly either closed eyes or a kiss on the nose. I am almost certain that he would still be a skittish little guy if our affection towards him weren't reinforced with positive contact several times a day.
