If your female already has bloody spots all over her and appears dark and stressed, get her (or him) OUT of there! Aggressive, territorial behavior is quite normal for males in breeding season. Some act this way even outside of breeding season. Iguanas in general should not be housed together. Something like this is, unfortunately, very predictable. It's just lucky that nothing happened earlier. Are either of them spayed/neutered? If not, you will probably end up with a lot of fertile eggs... unless of course, your female is in such bad shape that she can't lay them properly. However you have to do it, please separate those two. Things will probably only get worse.
