To Me....It Is Always So Fascinating How Crazy Nature Is....

When I was very little, my mom gave me an old book she had since her childhood given to her by my grandfather. It is called: "The Wonders of the World". It itself is probably an even older book.

It is a fascinating book, that briefly describes numerous natural and man-made wonders around our planet. Tonight I happened to just pick it up, and while skimming through the pages I found the iguana as one of the natural wonders!
"The Iguana, also called Armored Lizard" it was called. The way the book narrates the animal, it sounds like a mythological dragon-like beast from the Amazons.

That's when it came to my mind... how nature oddly evolves.
Because if u think about it, the iguana is a walking contradiction:
It has shark-like teeth (very sharp as many of us have experienced), formindable claws and a tail strong enough to break a small mammal's leg. It has menacing looking spikes on its back, a dinosaur-like dewlap that further gives it a prehistoric and freakish look, and skin to make the "Snuggles" teddy-bear shiver, along with intense fiery eyes.

If you came from another planet you'd think twice before picking it up and call it "Iggy Sue".

Yet they are herbivorous gentle giants, who have managed to infiltrate our homes and become child-like members of our families.

Who would've thought uh?
...the armored lizard.................................so cool.

Anyways, just a little thought I wanted to share with ya all.
