I called a vet from the Malaysian Zoo to come to my house today to check my reptiles and my husbandry. He said everything was fine , my iguanas had no problem at all and he was amazed to see how confident they are with me.He recommended me to give a calcium in powder he brought with him to baby Kenya and to my baby STAR tortoise, but said the big igs dont need extra calcium. He gave me a de-worm in powder and said to put on my igs food during one week.He said it was not necessary to weigh them. This treatment should be repeated after 2 months.
He gave me a product called Nutri-Cal(vitamins+ calcium), its like an ointment and according to him all the iguanas love the taste of this product and if i spread it on my finger my iguanas will come to me to lick it and like that will gain confidence and become tame easier.
He said to me that KENYA my baby ig is also a male so im the " happy" owner of 5 male igs!He said that the breeders dont sell baby females in Malaysia only baby males, for obvious reasons, so no away i could find a baby female in the local petshops to buy(I wonder how the breeders know the difference when they are that small!!)Then we agreed in a exchange of igs.Ill give him Sherman and he will give me a female from the Malaysian Zoo.(Do you think guys im mean?? )
He said to me, too, that the best medicines for igs are that are used for birds, never that used for cats and dogs.
What do you think??
