I have actually never had to deal with mouth rot. Maybe post it as a new topic and see if any of the other rescuers have had to treat it at all...

Cindy

:Well the important thing is...he's healthy :) oh, i was meaning to ask this before...what have you used ( if you have had to ) to treat infectious stomatitis ( mouth rot ) ????
:And regarding that , have you ever heard of Chlorhexidine?

:Katt

::Nope. No clue on age. Actually he had nothing at the shelter info wise. He is actually my first iguana that came in to me healthy. No knowledge of past care or diet. Nothing.

My GAWD i never really realized the difference between a healthy male adult iguana and a female til i finally have lived with one. For once I kept the nice one. Lemme tell ya this is gonna be a WHOLE new ball game. For those who missed it. Here is a pic of the new boy. His name is sarsippius. He was adopted sunday along with 2 fosters. Ill get pics up soon of them. Gotta use up the roll that have me trying on my wedding dress. Which I am very excited to say I pick up on friday.
