:Hi. Hopefully today or sometime soon I am going to be trying to rescue an iguana from a fish store that is not taking care of it at all. I dont think they are selling it and I dont think they care about it at all. It is in a corner sitting on top of a freezer of some kind in a little cage about the same size as him with nothing but a little log thing and a towel with poo on it. He looks very sad and I went over and started talking to him and he seems very sweet. I am going to talk to them first about him and then if they dont want him I am going to take him. This is what my future job will be anyways and I need the practice. He is very beautiful and quite big but not fully grow I dont think. I dont know anything about Igs and was hoping all of you could help me out by giving me any info about food, cage, size of cage, adult size of Igs, lighting, heating, and all of that. I am going to build him a cage this weekend if I get him that will be as tall as needed, 3ft L and 22in W. Does that sound ok? I will be making it out of chicken wire and it will be stable but this is so he can climb up it and everything. There will be shelves for him to sit on and whatever he needs. He is a very beautiful animal and so sweet looking but looks very sad now. He also has no lighting and heating in his little cage. Please help any way you can by giving me any info. Thanks :)
