Annaka with your post about persuading him to let go. get some vinegar and poor some in his mouth. he WILL let go. and after a couple times they learn that if they bite they get a nasty taste, and will stop. some even get a glove put vinegar on it and let them bite it. so they learn not to bite your naked hand.
just some thoughts to help.
:You can't predict how any individual male might react - I've heard of some who bite and shake hard, and some who grab females very carefuly. I've been lucky so far. I've managed to avoid Kaaz's approaches most of the time, and the three times he's grabbed me, he only caused a few tooth punctures. Still, it's not fun to sit for 10-20 minutes, persuading a big lizard to let go. If Kaaz grabbed my hands in an aggressive mood, I could very possibly have an amputated fingertip, or a lot of stitches. Please, don't get bitten...
