Thawing veggies

Our local stores have not been getting in any fresh greens. I will pick up some when I am in the city Friday, but my question is. I found some frozen collard and mustard greens without anything else added. What is a good way to thaw them so they will still eat them? My iguana and my beardie don't seem to like mushy food too much and I had read somewhere that you shouldn't thaw them in a microwave (this could be wrong I don't know). So any suggestions??
