Godzilla my 4 feet male ig is having a very bad breeding season and yesterday he thought my tennis shoe was his worst enemy and he attacked my tennis shoe. Thanks God my foot was not inside because he destroyed the shoe just like a dog would do!!
If you want to have an iguana as a pet i strongly suggest you to tame him!
The minimum term to tame an iguana, that is not captive bred, is 9 months. You have to handle him everyday for at least one hour during nine months!!he...he...he...

Can anyone give a ball park time on how long it take to tame an ig, my little fellow is real nasty. I have been handling him daily, for about 2 weeks, but he still wigs out. He's about 8 months old, and until I got him he was not handled very much. The other night he bite the me, and drew blood. Sometimes I feel like I an being cruel, by making him be handled. I know all igs are different. I just hope there is hope for him to be tamed. He is only about 4" from snot to vent and he still got blood from me. I am concerned he will take my hand off when he gets bigger. LOL.
